Truc Allen brings over twenty years of outdoor experiences including 25 years of sport and trad climbing, 17 years of whitewater kayaking, 10 years of cave guiding, and 7 years of design/development at ropes courses. Some of Truc’s notable achievements in climbing include his most difficult redpoint – the 13b Haul of Flame at Jacks Canyon, and his most difficult onsight – the 12b Stretcherous at the Muir Valley, Red River Gorge.

From 1994 to 2008, Truc split his time between climbing in the west and east coasts, and working as a guide and Director of an outdoor adventure center. Among his other responsibilities, he was a climbing, caving, and whitewater kayak instructor-trainer. In 2003, Truc also did some bouldering development in central Vietnam’s Ninh Thuan Province. Currently, Truc juggles his time as the owner of Truc Allen Media, a company that specializes in outdoor life photography, Marketing Director for Vertical World Climbing Gyms in Seattle, Board Member of the Washington Climbers Coalition, and Cascade Section Chair for the American Alpine Club.
