Truc Allen brings over twenty years of outdoor experiences including 25 years of sport and trad climbing, 17 years of whitewater kayaking, 10 years of cave guiding, and 7 years of design/development at ropes courses. Some of Truc’s notable achievements in climbing include his most difficult redpoint – the 13b Haul of Flame at Jacks Canyon, and his most difficult onsight – the 12b Stretcherous at the Muir Valley, Red River Gorge.
From 1994 to 2008, Truc split his time between climbing in the west and east coasts, and working as a guide and Director of an outdoor adventure center. Among his other responsibilities, he was a climbing, caving, and whitewater kayak instructor-trainer. In 2003, Truc also did some bouldering development in central Vietnam’s Ninh Thuan Province. Currently, Truc juggles his time as the owner of Truc Allen Media, a company that specializes in outdoor life photography, Marketing Director for Vertical World Climbing Gyms in Seattle, Board Member of the Washington Climbers Coalition, and Cascade Section Chair for the American Alpine Club.
Heidi Wirtz will discuss what it took for her to realize and unfold her dreams into reality. Never a solo journey, she elaborates on community and the help and support of companies such as PMI into her discussion.

Heidi Wirtz is one of the country’s few prominent female adventure climbers. She has been climbing for over twenty years, letting her passion for adventure and exploration lead her to places such as Nepal, Morocco, Jordan, Siberia, Tasmania, Czech Republic, Eastern Europe, Pakistan, South America, Canada, to name a few. Heidi has pioneered new routes up unclimbed big walls and mountains and pushed the limits of female exploration. She is known in the United States as Heidi Almighty for her bold and technical climbing as well as speed ascents in Yosemite Valley. Heidi is also known for her philanthropic work and her passion for yoga. She is co-founder of Girls Education International www.girlsed.org, an organization that helps bring education to women and girls in underserved areas throughout the world. Heidi is also owner and co-founder of Earth Play Retreats www.earthplayretreats.com, an adventure yoga retreat business that incorporates her passions into once in a lifetime experiences for her participants. Heidi’s big dream is to inspire and empower people from all walks of life to find deeper awareness and to follow their hearts.

Trask is the consummate rope man. Whether tied into the sharp end of a single rope on ice or rock, or rigging ropes to make a drop from wind turbines – he is equally at home in the vertical world. Trask has worked and rigged in a variety of industries including petroleum tanks, bridges, wind turbines, skyscrapers, paper mills, and grain silos. He has also designed and managed rigging for climbing movies such as Higher Ground and Luxury Liner, both by Alstrin Films.
Born in Arizona, Trask moved to Colorado Springs at twenty, where he has been climbing for seventeen years while turning his passion into a job. Trask has worked in the Rope Access industry for over seven years. In addition, he is an EMT, and holds both a SPRAT level 3 and an OSHA 30 certification. Trask puts safety above all else.
